Hello everyone. Find all the information you need to use Osan Air Base Passenger Terminal. There are seven important pieces of Osan Air Base information that should be shared with all passengers traveling on Department of Defense (DoD)-operated transportation. Check in times, baggage restrictions, pet policies, and benefits for command-sponsored dependents.
Mask Wearing (Using Osan Air Base Passenger Terminal)
While we recommend that all individuals wear masks on all DoD conveyances, including aircraft, maritime vessels, and buses, we want to clarify that this is an optional measure. Of course, not many people are wearing masks now that the COVID-19 situation is over, but we think it’s a requirement for some people. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, so we encourage you to make the decision that best suits your needs.
Primary Flight Locations
Our flights primarily serve locations in Japan and Seattle, Washington. Whether you’re embarking on a new adventure or returning home after a long journey, we’re here to make your travel experience as smooth as possible. If you have any concerns, please let us know right away and we’ll make it right. We only want one thing: your comfortable flight.
Space Required Passengers
For passengers who are traveling under orders (Space Required Passengers), it’s essential that you line up NO LATER THAN THREE HOURS prior to the scheduled departure time. This allows us enough time for boarding procedures and ensures a timely departure. We don’t want you to get stuck in the middle of nowhere. If you arrive later than this time frame, you will be redirected to your respective CTO/TMO for further re-booking information or as per your PCS orders. We recommend contacting the relevant department for more information.
Space Available Passengers
Space-available travel is a great way to see the world, but it’s important to be prepared for the possibility that there may not be seats available on your desired flight. For those of you traveling space-available (Space Available Passengers), roll calls are conducted at the Passenger Service Counter no earlier than 2 hours and 20 minutes prior to departure time. Roll call is the process by which Space Available Passengers (SAPs) are prioritized for boarding. We understand that flexibility is key when planning for space-available travel due to limited seat availability; therefore we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Baggage Limitations
You should be familiar with information about our baggage restrictions:
- Each person is limited to two individual bags.
- Each bag should not exceed a weight limit of approximately 70 pounds. This means that a total of approximately 140 pounds of bags is possible.
- The total linear dimensions (length + width + height) of each bag should not exceed 62 inches in addition to these two bags, passengers may bring one carry-on bag and one personal item onboard provided they fit under the aircraft seat. We recommend that you bring small, and important items on board with you. Please take note of this and follow the rules.
Note For Pet Owners
We advise pet owners that temperatures exceeding 85° F or below 20° F can put pets at additional risk during air transportation; hence it’s generally recommended not to travel with pets during such extreme temperatures. Take care of your beloved pets first.
Command Sponsored Dependents
All Command Sponsored Dependents must ensure they have their current Sofa Stamps/Visa before departing – if your Sofa Stamp has expired please visit immigrations prior for renewal.
